East Midlands Railway strikes
Ticket easements apply to these Summer 2026 strikes as follows:
Tickets dated Sunday 30th or Monday 31st August 2026 can be used from Friday 28th August 2026 up to and including Wednesday 2nd September 2026. This acceptance is automatic, you do not need a new travel document.
Tickets dated Wednesday 16th or Thursday 17th September 2026 can be used from Tuesday 15th September 2026 up to and including Monday 21st September 2026. This acceptance is automatic, you do not need a new travel document.
In all cases, tickets remains valid until 04:29 the following morning. If you choose not to travel due to the strike and have already booked a journey involving EMR on a strike day, you are able to claim a refund from us online via our refund portal.
