For a limited period only, until 5th January 2026, West Midlands Railway are offering 50% off their Off-Peak Day Return. And what's more, children aged 5-15 years get an additional 50% off. That means you can take the family for a day out for less.
Unlike other sales, all of these tickets are flexible and refundable* - so you can travel on any of the services considered off-peak with your ticket (and remember, off-peak restrictions don't apply on weekends or bank holidays). You won't be fixed to a specific departure like with Advance tickets.
There is no "buffer period" with this promotion either, so you can be spontaneous and book on the same day as you're intending to travel, without missing out.
* Subject to the usual admin fee arrangements

Why book with TrainSplit?
You don't need to book through West Midlands Railway to take advantage of this offer, it's available across all ticket offices and online retailers. TrainSplit is a National Rail accredited ticket retailer that sells tickets for all train operators in Great Britain, including West Midlands Railway.
If you purchase from us, what's more is that we'll sell you the best-value fares for your journey. Using our industry-leading split ticketing algorithm, we can sell you the most cost-effective combination of promotional and ordinary fares (where sale tickets are unavailable) to help you save even more on your travel.
For example, if you live off WMR's route, you don't have to miss out; we can sell you a ticket to get you to your closest WMR-served railway station and you can then benefit from a promotional fare. For example, living in Banbury but keen to see the Winter Light Trail in Birmingham? We can sell you a ticket split at Leamington Spa (and a PlusBus ticket!) to make it happen.
What's the catch?
The only drawback is that Railcard discounts cannot be stacked with the promotional pricing. Other than that, it's an excellent deal. Tickets cannot "sell out" - so no need to spend hours looking for a departure with promotional tickets left.
